Strange tail feathers?

Post by Ameza » Mon Jul 19, 2010 2:45 pm

I have noticed that one of my fledglings has a little funny tail feathers. It is propably normal but I have never seen this pattern on my birds until now. The white stripes are kind of heart shapen. So each tail feather has a normal white and black stripes, but the white line is split with a black line.

The bird is a normal pied, mgith be just that though my pied birds usually have whole tail feathers white.

...I tend to overthink things haha

Any thoughts?

I don't have any real input (other than the fact that my male pied has the same white marks on his head and wings but no heart-shaped markings), but he is a very cute little guy. Obviously he's just expressing how much he loves you!

Looks cute! I wonder if he'll moult them out or if they'll come back with the new feathers...?

Yes these pied birds can be so cute :) I find these tail marks very adorable and funny, too bad I'll probably have to sell her before she molts out :P Since I am out of room until I can build me pretty cage.

We'll see...
