Could you please pick up two black cheek waxbill hens, swing by and drop them off at my house?

I would go for the black bellied fires. I've seen pics of them from people who own them on this forum and they are gorgeous. Such a deep jewel red.

Keeping in mind species compatability and "user friendly" birds I'd probably shoot for the Goldbreasts, Lavendars or St. Helena's.

I haven't kept St. Helenas, but can certainly vouch for both the lavenders and the goldbreasts. Both are striking birds and get along well in mixed aviaries. The melbas are gorgeous, but would probably need to be kept separately, especially if the space isn't large.

Are you looking for birds for a mixed aviary, for will new birds have their own individual cages? If your Zebras are in a mixed aviary, it will affect what you get. If not, I'd go for Goldbreasts, or a pair of CBs, or Fires...any of the passive species will work with your Owls and Gouldians.
