My Java Finch sometimes jumps straight up and done on the perch many times in a row. Like he is bouncing.
What's the meaning behind this? Fun? Happiness? Anger? LOL

Usually when my finches jump up and down, it is in relation to mating dance. Even my Star hens, in a flight with no males, will hold a piece of grass in their mouth and bounce up and down on the perch. Guess they are trying to get the attention of any male in the bird room!

Oh o.k.! Sounds about right. He doesn't have a lady friend and spends most of his time singing and singing. He doesn't do the bouncing all the time, but once in awhile! thanks!
