I feel for your husband. I bought a pair of gold breast waxbills and they are the noisest birds I've ever had! They are outside and at 6 am the male start peeping so loud I hear it in the house, he goes on and on for over an hour every morning. it's like a dripping faucet to me. There is no "getting used to it" at all. They will soon be given to a friend of mine.

LOL debbie276. I have 4 Gold Breasted waxbills and you are right, they are noisy. They are noisier than all my Gouldians. I get up at 5:20 AM and when I go downstairs, they are already awake and making their sounds. The sun isn't even up at that time!
