Strange

Post by GOULDYGIRL » Tue Dec 09, 2008 2:53 pm

I always notice that my pair are always on one side of the cage since I put them in the roomier 30x18. Of course the food is over there, I have another dish in the middle back of the cage and they go there. But on the other side I have the nest box and nothing else. In the smaller cage they used to sleep on the cement perch a lot, now they sleep and hang out just on that one side next to the food and water. They do fly occasionally, back and forth but not often. So now, I test them and put their food on the other side next to the nest box. I can't believe the son of a guns won't go over there, lol. Well, I'll give them time but it's been about 1hr and they usually have their heads in the food dish most of the day. Could they possibly be scared of the nest box?? I added some new material yesterday and was hoping they'd check it out. GEEZ!

Birds are wary of any changes...leave 'em alone for a bit ...they'll be ok. when they get used to it.

You were right. They are over there now, and they haven't moved, lol I forgot I also added a millet spray yesterday so they are eating that too.

Yes they will be over checking it out once they believe it is no threat to them.
