Panicing?

Post by WillandChaucer » Sat Jun 23, 2007 1:41 pm

Hi,
I posted before about my birds making new sounds, but they're at it again. My brown one is making a constant low, raspy almost type of sound, over and over and rather urgently. It sounds as though he(she?) is panicing about something! I don't know what to do! and the other finch (they are sociey) is singing alot and flying around alot, too... it doesn't feel normal to me, they've never acted like this before!

Is there anything new/strange to them near their cage? It sounds like maybe they are making warning chirps to each other. It is difficult to say for sure without actually hearing them and observing what may be proceeding the "panicking".

It could also just be normal mating behavior that you are misinterpeting.

it is a raspy breathing sound or an actual chirp rasping sound if sound like it is in time to its breathing and is its tall bobbing in time also it so it could be air sack mites.
