blakbyrd - I know finch eggs will be a challenge as far as crafts, but I have a handful of ideas for them. An example is to poke a tiny hole, and to VERY careful and with great patience fill the egg with epoxy glue. When finally dry after a few days, it shoulden't be delicate anymore and this will give me more feedome to try more ideas. I don't know how many eggs Emily has to offer, but if I have a few extra I will share my other projects with everyone!

I am not sure why I and others are facinated with eggs...it's hard to explain. But I supose it's just the same, I can't understand why people collect stamps and coins!

rottielover- nothing wrong with that, it's good to give them breaks as you do. Especially with the females using all that calcium and protein to make eggs, it gives them a chance to catch up and recover.
