Well probably won't be doing glass finches...and they maybe lucky to get their pics taken. Sort of like the shoe makers shoes and hsi kids going barefoot ya know...I primarily photograph horses and am now going into all hot glass such a blowing, etc...

You however can make glass finches! I can tell you from years of glass art experience, anyone!!! and yes I do mean anyone" can do glass art!!! is so easy and always looks great. IMO photography is much harder then glass.

So how about you all share pics of your lil birds? I will get some up soon. Am off to Missoula today to get supplies....love rural living? lol have to drive 3 hours to the city to find those everyday things.

but am stopping into petco this afternoon in hopes of finding some colorful finches? never know...will report later....
bye....

Rita.....I had seriously considered doing stained glass but didn't have the space available to me....maybe when we build our retirement home I will have a Bird Room AND a Stained Glass workshop!! One can only dream!

I and others here have our birdies posted in the Gallery section of the forum....check that out when you have time.

I stopped at PetSmart today....Quarantine sign still up! They said won't be selling birds till April sometime...argh!

Let us know if you come home with any new Feathered Friends! :D

is the petsmart quarantine nation wide? I saw it in ID Falls when I first bought finches at petco, and now in Missoula. Weird. The finches all looked in great condition and if their would not been a sign, heck i would have bought one! Not one looked sick to me...

i started out doing glass on my kitchen table, anyone can do it this way...I only advanced as i turned it into a side business and then needed a studio. You can start out small and work your way up! Is very easy to learn!!! and with all the new cutters they came out with, omg...makes it sad to think what we started out with tool wise. i had a 2.00 glass cutter from lowell's...made about a dozen pieces before breaking it in two literally. I changed to pistal grip cutters after that and wow! talk about easy to cut glass!!! take a class and you'll quickly see what i mean!!!
