zebra finches already have that marking on there chest.

okay. so that is probably what happened and the zebra just laid an egg in their. But the zebras did not have so profound of a black marking and the hatchling were all fuzzy and looked so different from a previous clutch of theirs that my husband was convinced that they were hybrids.
I on the other hand all along have believed they were zebras.
They are both males and sing their little hearts out all the time.
I am going to take a pic of the second one which is so different.
