You might put a thermometer in your porch. If it stays at or near 70, you should be okay re fruit flies. I guess they need temps a bit warmer than that. I keep my house at 68 during the winter.

Unfortunately, I can't regulate the temp on the porch. It's whatever the rest of the house is and I need to keep it warm for the baby. I still have a few flying around but they've died down thanks to my husband and I swatting them. Hopefully the strips will help get rid of them for good.
