Re: Photo Box
to take a photo through the glass/plexi-glass you need to have the camera at a slight angle to the photo box otherwise the flash bounces straight back at the camera

Re: Photo Box
If you choose to use the tank outside this is what some of the pictures will look like thru the glass.

No - I didn't put anything in the tank because I was just trying to see what the quality would look like

And, here is inside with lighting above

The biggest problem I found was the clarity of the photos and the glares inside and outside

Re: Photo Box
Thanks Janine...your pictures look great
Thanks Mick....I knew there must be a way...I have seen them clear before..I'm just camera clueless
Misty, if the back and sides were covered with pattern like yours wouldn't that remove some of the glare?
Ikhom....yes...Is this a good idea or what????
Bill, I had forgotten about this post...I do remember seeing it a long while back. I think yours is a great box and The picture is good. Of course it is of one of my favorite species
Well.... I appreciate all the input. I think I will try an aquaium, build a wood front box with a square door and a wire/wood combo with plexiglass and just practice....I have lots of all of those material laying around. I was just feeling particularly lazy and knew the aquarium would be the easiest

Re: Photo Box
Hi everyone, first off I'm not a camera expert in no way shape of form, but I wanted to bring up something I just realized when trying to find out what type of zebs I have. I have my own coolpix camera (which doesn't do this that I know ) but my son was the one who took all the pics of my FC pair, which I have yet to name. Anyway he took those pics through the bars of the cage. I don't know what the settings were or what he did. But the bars DID NOT show up in the pictures as if the camera just moved the bars out of the way. I just thought you would be interested in this information. Again here's the beautiful couple.

Re: Photo Box
Those are some beautiful zebras
The main reason I want a photo box is to have a background print in the photos. I have taken pitures that don't show the bars. I just get really close to the cage and take the picture between the bars.
