ONE more pic and I will let the thread die - they seem to be getting along pretty well except at bedtime, which I assume will calm down once they decide on which spots they like. I don't hover up there anymore, but every time I check on them or am in the next room for any length of time, they are quite peaceable.

They're just so dang cute! Thanks again for all of the advice!

Mama lost the fight for her normal spot tonight (which is not the high perch) so she was a little put off, but I really think another day or two and they'll all have established places and there will be peace at bedtime. Woot!

I see the hen's bill is very dark - she is ready and wanting to breed. There may not be much you can do.
It's a gorgeous cage, but may be a little small for that many birds, especially with those wild hormones raging.
They can't help it - there is no training them not to be aggressive or territorial. If the one is grabbing the juvies by the wing - that's not going to end well. Really the only solution is to take her out of the situation.

Do you want her to raise another clutch? She appears ready and willing. Maybe there is another breeder in your area that you could 'loan' her to, to diversify bloodlines? Win-win for all.

Good luck - keep us updated!
