Aww - thank you James, Sally, Bill, Mick and everybody - YOU have all made this the BEST birthday for me!

No birds (honestly don't need to buy more - just need the current pairs to get "moving") but had a nice dinner with hubby and son and daughter even came home from university for the evening!

I loved reading all your notes so much, I may just have another one next year. Thank you all, you're a great bunch to connect with :!:

Happy birthday from me, too!

Now you've joined the 2 Fs, but hopefully not the 3 Fs, or at least hopefully not the first F! (Fat, Fifty and Female!)

Wishing you a belated happy birthday Liz, and if anyone is remotely interested (if you're not, I shall tell you anyway), I'm 41.

Well maybe you're in the lead because the last category says "Let's not go there"... and believe me, many of us in this category wish we didn't have to go there!

I fall into the 26 to 35 range (for the next year and a half anyway), but I can say I am actually looking forward to turning 40. I figure 30 was so good, 40 must be awesome!!!

the 40's are great. the kids finally start to leave home, only returning occasionly for a free meal and cash handout, no longer a daily occurence :D

mickp:
my granddad had the best idea.

He said when you get married you build a one bedroom houseas you have kids you add bedrooms then when they move out you tear a bedroom off that way they can't move back in. My dad started charging rent the day I graduated, and I still had to obey all the other rules, like cutting the grass, washing the car, and all that.

40 is not 'awesome' (Oooh! that word again) It's the age when everything starts to wear out.
When you're a bloke it's a disaster age...prior to that you hear the..."I prefer older men" bit from all the bright young things...On hitting 40 you're "Old enough to be my Dad".....It's the end of the world for every bloke on the planet.

Unless of course you're rich....
