if you buy the weekly paper, cage and aviary birds, its out every thursday!you will find plenty of birds for sale in your area in the personals at the back of the paper...plus you will get a lot of advice about keeping them from the people who you purchase birds from

It says that the price a year for the UK is 43.51 (euros?) and 122.75 (dollars) for the US, that's not the same amount, is it? Can't be. I 'll see if I can find an exchange rate some place.

Found a rate exchange, it says that 48.51 if euros is = to 64.46 in US dollars and 95.52 if it was in pounds. Not as much as $122.75, but, yeah still pricy. I guess the UK price is not so bad for a weekly, the New Yorker runs to that too (around $60 I think).

the price i pay in sterling is £1-40p each mag,so you should pay roughly twice that in dollars...but for a subscription you should get a discount! it works out at $2-75

Yikes, that's $143.00 a year! :( and $71.50 for you, but with a reduction for subscription it is probably the $122.75 they quote on their web page. This is alot compared to many American subscription rates. If I get a boon I'll subscribe. Do you all like it alot? Do they talk much about finches and canaries? The problem with the American magazines (all monthy) that I've seen is that they are almost totally about parrots & macaws, etc. (I'm happy for them, don't get me wrong, just doesn't do much for me)

hi hoji
there is a bit of talk about parrots and budgies, but you name it about birds and they talk about it! sometimes its british or softbills but mostly foreign finches..there is a letters page a readers question and answer page you can but anything related to birds seed ,eggfood, cages, cage fronts lighting...also as i said they have a classified in the back where they sell birds and equipment i ma sorry they dont have an actual website about the mag but they are in the throws of building a readers forum for obvious reasons there is not a website otherwise no one would need to buy the mag ...if you like i could post you an old copy to let you see what its like if you e-mail me your full postal address

That would be great, I'll be really happy to pay the postage. I'm not sure about sending my address (I'm at work). I'll try some things and get back to you if they don't work
