Okay well I give my birds fresh egg food and the attack it. There are so many and the only place I can keep my birds is outside. They will be having there first clutch soon and I DO NOT want my babies to get attacked by ants?
HELP!? Thank You.

Re: ANTS!
Okay I had this problem this month. I had an ant hill near my aviary (I hadn't seen it) and they got to my babies. See attached post:
http://www.finchforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=10515
Since then I have sprayed animal safe stuff near the aviary as well as baited the ants. To prevent nest attacks, I have drawn a thick line around each nest-box (it works the ants wont cross it).
I think I had the problem because a baby died in the nest and the ants came and then ended up attacking all the babies (this is what I think happened to me). Also when the babies first fledge the babies are also vulnerable.
I have always kept my birds outside and they have coexisted well with all the bugs and ants although this year the ants have been bad at my house.
People gave lots of good tips on the above post see what they suggested. Good-luck!

Re: ANTS!
I meant to say a thick chalk line around the nests. It works
