Hi i was wondering where i can get finch leg bands? Right now I only need 2.
Where can i get such a small order? If anyone had extra bands lying around i would be willing to buy them and pay for postage. I could simply mail you a pre addressed pre stammped envelope inside another evelope with the money. thanks

Sean -
You can get bands from a couple of different sources. They generally come in batches of 10, along with a banding tool.

Hey, Sean, I am out of leg bands right now, but I will be placing an order tomorrow with Just Bird Stuff. Everyone sells the leg bands in sets of 10. Even though you only need 2 right now, you may want to band any babies they have. Also, since these are split bands, sometimes they come off and you never find them, so it is always nice to have a few extras on hand.
Anyway, it would be ridiculous for you to have to order just leg bands, shipping would kill you. If you want, I can order an extra set of 10 in my order and then just stick them in an envelope to you. Or if you just want 2, I can let you have them once I get my order in. If you want to do this, let me know what color you want--I'm going to order a selection (I have high hopes for a successful breeding season)

I have seen them from $1.50 for 10 to $2.50 for 10, but then you have shipping, of course. Birds2Grow has them for $1.50, and I'm placing an order with them as well. With 41 cents or whatever it is now for a stamp, I could send you a string of 10 for 2 bucks. Your call.

If you only have two birds I wouldn't worry about bands yet. Most people just use band to tell different birds apart. I have alot of bands laying around, I can send you a couple if you'd like, let me know. Gunnar
