Is $135US an ok price for a pair of 2-3 year old star finches??

That is on the high side of normal--(most prices I see are 45-75$ per bird, depending on mutation). I would expect $135/pair to be the price of star finches which are carrying some mutation. Prices do vary from breeder to breeder, however, and higher quality birds often demand higher prices. It is not an unreasonable asking price for a healthy pair, but that is my opinion.

Normals in my area, Texas, go for $50 to $70 each, with the low end from a hobby breeder, and the high end from a professional breeder. The importers have them cheaper, but then you have to figure in shipping costs. If it is from a reliable breeder, who sells unrelated pairs, it is probably OK.
