Bird Bands

Post by jamezyboo21 » Wed Mar 26, 2008 2:33 am

Does anyone know of places that may carry bird bands?

Check out this site, they have two-color bands, and you can buy smaller amounts.

www.redbirdproducts.com

And this site has the larger, soft plastic leg bands, but you have to buy 100 for $7.00:

Also you can click on this link and read about leg band discussion in a previous thread. :D

I found someone near my home who carries bird bands and i have decided to put bands only on the babies. that way i will know who are my adults and who will go to good homes.

I am so happy. I was able to catch all the zebras today and put the bird bands on them, but it took about and hour to catch them all..glad that's over.

they are very fast and it tires me out, lol. For now on im going to band my birds when i buy them and before they go into there cages. im going to order some bands this time because i can get 100 bands for $7 online and i was paying almost $4 for just 10 bands from a breeder. oh yeah, and instead of banding the babies i only band the parents and any of the babies that i decide to keep.

I hate banding birds. I think it is the one thing that I do not like about the finches. I am always sooooo scared of hurting one or breaking a little foot or leg. :(
