Where can I find Square perches
I'm finding my 2 zebs late at night both sitting (fluffed up ) on 2 small finger treat cups.
the small cups that are square in shape
So i'm guessing that they would maybe like to have a square perch to use.

Anybody here ever use square perches
I;ve seen where most hospital cages are using them.

a square perch would not be good for your birds feet. the feet of birds are meant to curl around the branches of trees and shrubs in the wild. the differing thickness of these branches helps the birds to exercise their feet.
cant imagine a bird trying to sleep on a square perch there's no way it would be able to hold on

Well, You tell my birds that they can't sleep on a "square perch"
I know they make them, just have to find one.

Where are your finger cups located in the cage? My two were sleeping on a treat cup as well, until I moved it lower in the cage. Now they are sleeping on a regular perch. They wanted a high spot and the treat cup was it!

My finger cups are at the lowest part of the cage, next to the seed cups.

I suggest you refer your birds to a good therapist

You might want to give them one of the small bamboo nests. I did see you mention you having one but a bird will roost the same place as long they are comfy(fluffed up).

Some birds like to roost/rest in a certain part of the cage for whatever reason. My societies prefer to sleep on the bottom of the cage in the corner even though they have a nest box, but you don't see me removing the perches, do ya?!

Sorry for the smart alec reply, but mickp is right, square perches can't be good for their feet, although I've seen round perches that are flat on top.

I just thought it was kinda odd myself, wondering if anybody else had that happen

Bonzo, I wasnt trying to tell you what to use or not to use. they are your birds in your cage.
all I said was why I dont believe that square perches are any good for birds. same as I dont believe in using round dowel bought from shops for perches, damn stuff is the same thickness over the whole length which again is no good for the feet of birds. the plastic perches that come with cages when you purchase them are also (IMO) useless again same thickness all over. birds need differing thicknesses to exercise their feet.
but if square works for you then go for it

Hope I didnt sound harsh in that previous post, maybe could have worded it a little differently, but I stand by what I said.
