Mist system for aviaries
I have been looking into possibly purchasing a inexpensive mist system for my small finch aviary. The high temperature in the 7 x 9' aviary is hovering around 90-91 degrees on some days during the peak afternoon hours. Although I have not noticed any obvious signs of heat related stress from the birds, I dont want to risk losing any of them either and was considering getting and installing a mist system to make the finches more comfortable. A company called "Ecologictech" which specializes in mist systems has a system called the" Quick Connect Rainmaker 1 " which sells for $ 259.99 . It is quick and easy to set up and uses a 5 gal bucket type reservoir with a timer and misting pump which is rated at 45psi . It includes 4 misting heads but can be expanded to as many heads as you want up to 35 max. There is not a convenient water faucet located close to the aviary so running pvc pipe clear around the house where my only spigot is located is not practical if installing a traditional plummed system which connects to your water supply. I dont know anything about misting systems so if anyone here on the forum has had them or is using them in their aviaries please let me know. I would appreciate any advice in this matter. Thanks,Randy.

Do a search on the forum here, I believe someone had a post up about a mister that you connected with a regular garden hose, that was much much much cheaper (like less than $50).
