room for more?

So I recently got the hq double flight and my 2 boys love it! I've thought about adding a few more boys into the mix but I'm not sure how many. The cage calculator says 4-6 can fit, but is that 4-6 pushing it? Or is it 4-6 comfortably housed? (Does that make sense?)
Also, I remember reading something about you should either have 2 birds or [insert number here] birds. Does anyone know the magic number I'm talking about? I just want everyone to get along famously with as little squabbling as possible.

Is this the cage you have?
http://www.amazon.com/Birdscomfort-Doub ... B005ZDR2GM. The listing says its dimensions are 64" L X 21" W X 32" H. It looks plenty big enough to comfortably fit 4-6 birds.
In most cases, it's best to have 2 birds or 6+ birds. Even if you have more than 6, even numbers are usually better. From what I've read, this is so that:
- "third wheels" won't be created if birds pair up.
- a specific bird won't be picked on by the rest.
I am no expert- this is what I've gathered from others!

jebediah with a double flight 4-6 is definitely ample space for everyone. Always an even number, to avoid aggression and third wheels like tzippora said. Good luck!

Definitely 4-6 birds would be very comfortable in that flight, and 6 would be best, as others have said. I love that cage myself, and my birds seem very comfortable in it, I have 6 males right now but had 8 before.

Thanks guys! I'll have to start looking into expanding menagerie.
