Is anyone going to the birdmart this weekend at the Abba shrine? I'll be going and hopefully find some nice finches. Texas Pride use to be there and I always got finches from them. I heard they have retired and no longer sell finches :(

Yes, Jan Door of Texas Pride Aviary retired and sold off all her birds. We miss her at our marts, as she always had the most incredible selection of finches and softbills.

Yes, Sally is correct. I wish I could go there, but Alabama is too long drive. #-o

Sally I remember Jan and she always had a huge variety of finches and I always came to their tables first. Unfortunately for me she retired right before I got back into the finch hobby. Hopefully someone else will have a variety.

finchmix22 If you lived closer I would've def been happy to rehome some of your finches.I am looking for the ones you have except green singers. They have a lot of green singers where I live.

So I went to the bird fair today and it was awesome. I only had $300 to spend but I got a female fire, female cordon, a pair of orange cheek waxbills, and a pair of gold breast. I also purchased two more breeder cages. I spent $200 for everything. Two vendors had strawberry pairs for $160 but both vendors will be coming to the fair in my town in October. That's where I'll probably buy 3 or 4 pair of strawberries. Their also bringing stars n owls to next fair. This was the prices
Lavenders $40 each
Goldbreast $30 each
Strawberries $160 pr
Fires $40 each
Orange cheek waxbills $15 each
Societies $8 each
Zebras $10
Red seed crackers $400 pr
Green back twin spots $150 pr
Gouldians any color $55 each $100 pr
Black and white mannikins $40 pr
Cordons $40 each
Cut throats $30 each
Green and grey singers $30 each

Sally I was surprised. I didn't think they would have that good of a selection and prices. I really wanted to get strawberries but they said they breed them and they will most likely have pairs at the next fair. That gives me 2 moths to save up.

I would like a pair of blue gouldians and another pair of Cordon Bleus. But it depends on if my birds decide to start having babies.
