English or not?

Post by Raleighwheels » Sat Mar 12, 2016 9:22 am

Hey guys,

Early last summer I bought several English zebras from a breeder. I'm just really questioning whether they are actually English, especially my recessive silver pair. The male is rather large, but the female seems smaller. I bred them recently, and the chicks range in all different sizes. I'm getting ready to sell the young, but I'm cautious about advertising them as full English if they aren't.

Anyway, here's some pics.

Not English.... English are more rounded, larger. Eyes look almost stern and the face is more rounded, full. Often you will see standard crossed with English which may give you a variety of sizes a bit larger than standard.

Cindy Is the male in her photo English? Or he is not either, and he may be a cross between regular and Engllish? Just curious. BTW, Love getting to see your photos... Your birds are so gorgeous!!!! Don't English Zebs have less of a temperment than American... meaning aren't they less...aggressive, more docile? Just thought I heard that once.

oh wow. I didn't know you could get 'English' zebras. I know about English budgies but not in finches. I'm really curious now and will keep an eye out :)
