Hi, welcome to the finch forum and congrats on your new Society Finches! As long as they are m/f - they will most definitely breed for you. Enjoy!

Most often when they fight it's when they are competing for a mate. Are you sure you have a male and female? Maybe they are both male, or both femail, and they are trying to out do each other in their nest building? I'm no expert and others might have other ideas. But have you heard either one of them sing yet? or both?
Wouldn't worry too much about it in any case. When I had society finches they swabbled now and then, but never seriously fought.

Hey franny
They are male and female Cause one of them does the breeding song and he fluff up his feathers and hop while singing he does all that and the other doesn't I saw them breed also so they are male and female
But now and then they have a fight for some reason

Sounds like pretty good confirmation...

And B Camp is right.

Maybe they were bonded with a different bird in the pet store, and need to get used to the new mate. Or else the hen is just a nag and doesn't like the way he builds the nest. Maybe the cage is different and it has them a bit on edge....
Are they still fighting? Hope they've settled their differences now. It's a lot of fun to watch them raise their babies. Hope they get busy for you. But even so, they are very cheerful birds with a sweet song, and I love the male's little dance.

It's normal to "try" to breed.

Even cows out in the pasture will have a go at eacho ther sometimes. (No kidding.) Raging hormones, you know. So if you have two males, one might still try to hop on the other, lacking a female in the cage. If they both sing, and still no eggs, that explains why they fought over the building of the nest!

Hey fanny
Got good news looked in the nest and there is a egg only one not sure if they are going to have more so they are male and female now. But the female sings also like the male
they still fight for some reason now and then but the female has been sitting on the egg this morning so thats good
