Soprano is attacking the males!
My female finch and males were getting along. Two days ago she went manic and has been on the attack since. What do I Do? I've separated the cages and removed the males to other areas, but she is still attacking the one she liked most. O.o
I also forgot to mention: She's grown attached to my other bird, but he's completely a different type of bird of the vocal variety. He started singing the same songs as the male finch, is that possibly why? This is also the same female that adopted pigeon nestlings. ><
She lost interest once the fledged, but now I'm wondering if it's even safe to place her with others of her own kind.

It's difficult to say why your girl has become so aggressive towards her mate.
Maybe he wants to breed, and she doesn't, maybe it's the opposite, where she wants to breed, and he doesn't.
I would remove her mate into the cage with the other males for a while, and see if she'll settle down.
By the way, what species of bird is she attracted to?

The starlings came in over spring and one was released as after a rescue. I kept him for a year or two til I was sure he'd survive and find a mate. He's hanging around near the window since then.

Starlings can be very tame. They talk and it's legal to keep them as pets. They are amazing birds.

He's still very much my baby. I left the cage open on the porch if he decides to stick around, but this is a migration zone too. They usually only stay long enough to breed and then they're gone again.

I think, I don't know for certain but there might be eggs in the bird house box. I'm not getting close to it until I find if her current behavior is on repeat. She's very defensive of the nest though.... O.o
