My feelings exactly, I am sure if I threw a nest in there that she may start laying eggs, but laying eggs and raising chicks are two separate things. If she lays them and they drop to the floor they are not going to hatch. I just want to make sure she is in good condition before I put a nest in there.
Right now she is just enjoying her new home and flying everywhere and discovering all the new perches and decorations.
Society needs a cage mate !

lem2bert I ment if you don't have a nest in because you don't want to breed they will drop eggs or lay them in dishes and you can get rid of them my dishes are all low so when they do lay they try to lay them on a branch or that wicker swing and they fall of and break.enjoy them

Yes I agree with you
I am going to let her de-stress and then decide if I want to breed them. Right now if she lays eggs I will take them out. I am enjoying them very much. It is so fun to watch them , she flies back and forth the length of the cage and he is like ....where did she go now !!!

She has not dropped another egg yet, so I am trying to get her to eat some fresh food and egg. My male use to go to a plate at the bottom and did that once when I put fresh food in yesterday, but she would not go down there and he never went back down there 
This morning I put the food up higher and he went in and she followed so some progress

I do not know how much patience they have , but I have a lot !!!

Thank-you very much !! Yes I am also glad I came over to the finch side. They are a wonderful addition to the bird room and I enjoy all the different cheeps and chirps that come from that room.
