Names for Zebras

Hey Everyone! I am new to the forums and new to finches and I have 2 zebras a boy and a girl (under a year old I am told)

I am thinking of naming the Boy Finchy (Bobbie) and the girl finchy (Jessie). Does anyone else name thier birds?

I am also planning on letting them breed so I am wondering what to do about naming the babies then as well, would I need tags to tell them apart?

Hi Shawn and welcome. We started off with a pair of zebras. Named them Peanut (f) and Weezle (m). Before we knew it they had two babies. And not long after there were four more.
We however didn't really plan of breeding. Apparently that's all they do.

Good luck with them. It'll be interesting to see what color the babies will be. I was surprised when I saw that out of their six babies three are white. The parents are gray.

I think that if you only have a few zebras, naming them is ok, providing you can tell them apart! We have a pair of zebras, Bob and Marley in one cage, and 2 females in another, Lucy and Abby in another. Can't tell Lucy and Abby apart though, since they look the same, so I'm not sure what the point of that was.

I like to name my birdies too. We even named all our 30+ chickens when we had some years ago.

My Owls are "Buzz & Beebop" and my Gouldians are "Jazz & Jewel".

Hi.... I am new here to the forum, I have a pair of Zeb's and they are named Pearl (she is a white/chestnut flanked,) and the male zumie....
Fitting for him...he is fast!
Anyhow, I am an avid road biker (for charities etc.) and the brand that I love is Pearl Izumi..... So that's where it originated!

By the way, they are sitting on 5 eggs, due this Weds...
