Lady Gouldian molting

Hello. I have a pair of lady gouldians, and the female seems to have started a molt. The male has not. So my question is, do gouldians just molt at random times, or do they molt seasonally like canaries?
If they are supposed to molt at specific times, what could have triggered my hen into molting? I haven't changed anything recently (lighting, food, cages, etc.).
