Wasps
I love to put my zebras out in the garden but yesterday i heard a commotion only to find a couple of wasps had taken an interest in the birds, more specifically the poop on the cage floor. Do wasps pose any risk to birds and if inclined to sting could they penetrate feathers. This may seem an odd question but i worry about my little bundles of joy

Re: Wasps
If wasp stings seem really bad to humans, they can potentially kill a finch. If the wasp nest is nearby and it isn't in a neighbour's garden maybe you can call pest exterminators to remove it.
Have a nice day!

No evidence of a nest thankfully, guess i will have to be mindful when putting them out, i would hate to deprive them of there outdoors time as they love it so much.CathyCraftz wrote: If wasp stings seem really bad to humans, they can potentially kill a finch. Maybe try putting them out at a different time of the day?

Bumblebees workers can sting, but only if you threaten their nest. Honeybees die after stinging you. Wasps can sting you multiple times without dying.

I heard that bees can sting more than once if the animal they sting has thin skin; perhaps they can sting finches multiple times, as well.
