Looking for green canary photo

Post by Anhinga » Mon Jan 21, 2019 2:16 am

Hi! I completed a tiny study on mate choice for color in canaries during my PhD, and now that I'm trying to get the work published in a scientific journal, I've discovered that I made the fatal error of forgetting to take a nice photo of my green Spanish Timbrado canaries. The only photo I have is of a tiny nestling!

I'd like the first figure in my paper to be a panel of the different colors of birds I used in my mate choice trials--red, white, yellow, and GREEN. I've been scouring the internet but I'm having trouble finding a photo I can use with permission.

Would any canary breeder be willing to share a decent photo of a green canary, Spanish Timbrado or otherwise? You would be credited by name if desired.

Thank you!!
-Rebecca
