Where do you live? :)

Hello everyone,

Forgive me if a thread like this has already been posted. But I thought it would be interesting to know where everyone is from, i.e. country, state, and city. This is good in cases when you need help and you know you can depend on people close by or even to exchange offspring between breeders, etc.

I live in Dubai, UAE (that's United Arab Emirates)

This is why we ask everyone to post their location on their profile. Then it shows up right under your name and avatar, etc., every time you post, and it does help when answering questions. I'm from Joshua, TX, USA, which is about 15 miles south of Ft. Worth.

I'm from New Orleans, LA. Moved to Kentwood after losing it all in Hurricane Katrina. Kentwood, LA. is the hometown of Britney Spears. I can only dream of going to Dubai. Love those man-made islands.

Hi JohnBoy,

Sorry to hear about the hurricane incident, I hope you like the life in Kentwood, LA. Dubai is crazy. Not only the man-made islands (Palm Jumeriah) but many things. This city never ceases to amaze me. Just 4 days ago, the Dubai Metro was launched. Also the work on the world tallest building (Burj Dubai almost 1 KM high) is almost coming to an end. And work on the City of Arabia with its high-tech Dinosaur park is picking up fast and many more. They are even building a Universal Studios

Let me know if you ever decide to visit Dubai, I can suggest many places to go.

If you don't live in the US or Canada you might not be familiar with the state abbreviations that everybody uses in the profile. So for everybody from outside North America, here's a link to the list of abbreviations used for the U.S. states. (It took me a while too to learn all of them when I moved here from Europe...
