My female cordon bleu has been doing a dance for the male and I just caught her with a piece of grass in her mouth dancing for the male. I thought it was supposed to be the other way around. They are RCCB so I do know it was the female doing the courting.

Guess I should have checked some web sites before posting. I read that both sexes dance and call. That was so cute!!!!!

I've never seen my female RCCB do that - so I'm glad you found your own answer, and thanks for letting us know. =D>

Thanks Star, I have RCCB also so far just the male dances, the female doesn't really pay attention. She is usually off eating.

I'll have to watch and see if she ever does it.

I have blue caps and, like Liz and Cindy, only the male dances and the female does some fantastic ignoring. You're lucky to have a dancing female as they are the ones that are hard to impress.

Are you sure it's a female RCCB? Could it actually maybe be a male BCCB? I know that they can easily be confused. :?
