Before the change of ownership, I used to get emails letting me know when someone responded to my posts, or mentioned me, or sent me a private message.
Does this functionality still exist? Do I need to enable it?

Rob I think some changes may have happened when the forum was switched over to the new owner, but you can check on those yourself. Just go to your User Control Panel (at the top of the page) and check Preferences. This will let you set what notifications you get. This applies to all members--if you aren't getting notifications that you used to get, just check your User Control Panel and see if things have been changed.

Rob With the transfer, some settings may have been reset. As Sally said your best bet is looking in your user control panel settings.

lovezebs If you want to be notified when someone responds to your post, then you need to go to Board Preferences, then to Edit Posting Defaults, and you can check that you want to be notified.
If you want to be notified when someone likes one of your posts or mentions you in a post or sends you a message, then that is done on the Edit Global Settings area of Board Preferences.

I have notifications turn on. Do you receive emails?
My guess is the new server doesn't have SMTP set up, or a PHP setting isn't configured correctly.

Rob I'm fairly computer illiterate, lol. I have set it to notify me if I have PMs, or if I have been mentioned in a post. I don't have it set to allow emails, since I figure PMs serve that purpose.

If you're getting emails the server must be set up correctly, and it's something on my end. I'll keep poking around.
It's funny, I found the emails too much at times, but not getting any I have to remember to check the forum frequently.
