Board Really Slow Lately

It has varied between "okay" (meaning not great, but not obviously bad) and slow to really slow. Less of the slow stuff since you got involved. But when it's slow, it's so slow it's too difficult and annoying to try to post to tell you it's slow...

lol when you guys were posting all the slow things I was like then how are they posting? Lol but you just waited until it loaded. I am.on my kindle fire HD and iPhone and iPad when on this and the kindle seems the fastest . But all of them are good with the forum .

Crystal I really don't I was just making an inference fir other people. My speed on the forum is good. Sorry

Board this morning is variable, sometimes acceptable speed, then it will bog down again. Submitting a post is still very slow. Anyone else notice any change?

No change. Still very slow to open the board index and post replies. It might be a tiny bit quicker on going back to the view new posts, but not a significant difference in my opinion.

To be honest the forum has been OK For me. What internet do you all have??

I'm reviving this again, as I'm still having problems with slow posting, and I'd like to see if others are still having trouble. If you are having any of the following problems, please let me know in this thread (even if it takes forever to post).

1. Slow to log on. Sometimes get timed out, then finally get logged on.

2. Opening and reading posts is OK.

3. Posting is incredibly slow. Type my message, then hit the submit button, and then wait, and wait. Timed out. Hit the submit button again, and wait. Finally get posted, but with a message that another post has been made--surprise, it is my own post, so I've just done a duplicate post--sometimes it has been a triplicate post (probably because I get so irritated I start pounding on the submit button!).

4. Get a notice that I have a PM. Takes several minutes to open the PM, may get timed out before it opens. Type a response, and then wait on that darn submit button again.

Need to amend #2 above, opening posts is also slow. It just isn't quite as slow as submitting a post.

I have wi-fi, not high-speed internet, but I don't think that is a factor. I even changed hot spots thinking that my old one might be the culprit, but that wasn't it. I have no problem logging into other sites or posting on other sites, so it is definitely just this forum.

Same problems. Thought it was me.
Last night I simply gave up on it. Tried to post and it just wouldn't go through. Pressed 'submit' again and again and things just sat there, then would go into 'web page not found'? It was driving me crazy . Finally I just had enough and logged off.
Don't know what the problem is, but it's very frustrating.
I don't use a pc, I use my smart phone .

I check in a few nights a week on weekdays usually and don't have a problem with speed when generally clicking through to read. It is slow to post though. It usually goes though just as I am about to click "submit" again.

It's slow for me whether on my phone or laptop. I have fallen victim to double posts, thinking it won't go thru and hit submit again just as it finally does submit the first time. Guess I'm not patient enough. Loads slow, posts slow, going to next page is slow, slow, slow, slow. This site has always been that way for me, although worse lately. I just figured that's the way it was. If it takes too too long, I give up and come back later.

With me, it's some times. It seems to go through periods when there are no problems, then all of a sudden it's as slow as the proverbial molasses in January. I think evenings are more slow as a rule. I'm a technological doodle head, so most times I figure that I've done something wrong.

I too have been experiencing that feeling of waiting for Christmas (or eggs to hatch) while being on the forum, minus the excitement. It comes and goes, but this is from my phone and laptop, both at home on my own WIFI, as well as from work.

Sally's general assessment of it's performance is pretty accurate.

I'm only on a tower computer with a modem with the highest speed internet. It varies for me and I think it's related to how much "traffic" is on the site at the same time. I am awake opposite hours than most of you and during slow hours it seems fine, other times it's slow. It's been doing it a lot the past few days. It will also be fine for days and start up again. Mostly I have trouble with it when I try to post something. That's my two cents. I guess everyone is having a different problem but if we made a flow chart, comparing crossover similarities, we might figure out the actual issue.
