Colt I guess I need to remove the screenshots then, since I can see a statement that says 'images may be subject to copyright.' The link would be fine.

Colt yep that's how you do it on the iPhone.

What I did was aimed for the computers. Now this is a helpful thread because we have steps for both.

Well I screenshotted so if Elana (@lovezebs) had an iPhone she could see the steps. With the web address clearly in all the photos is that still copyright infringement? I have no idea...

Sally that was actually my point as well, I screenshotted it to show where my mouse was at 'view image'

I understand though. My explanation doesn't requre the picture.

I don't understand...if your supplying credit via the link why can't the picture show? I thought that was the whole point of including links with the material?

When text is quoted, then a link is good, along with credit for the quoted material, so that others can go to the source and read the whole article.

When photos are posted, technically it violates the copyright law, even when a link is provided, because the author has not necessarily given permission for the photo to be copied or posted. Since we don't have time to research every photo that is posted on the forum, we decided that if members only posted their own photos, we wouldn't have to worry about copyright problems, and it takes a lot off our workload. We've had several cases in the past where we were told about copyright violations on our forum, so we're just trying to keep it legal.

Holy Crow.... I wanted to show one pink robin, and ended up with a whole army.

all I did was google pink robin images. Hit the one I liked. When it went into the site, icfound the picture I liked again and clicked and held it until a menue appeared. Clicked the copy to url. It went into clip board, and the rest is history. Just hope I remember how to do it again....

lovezebs the key is to not go to the website. Just click view image, and then you can share just that picture.
