Board Really Slow Lately

If anyone else is on dial-up service with XP as I do, & having trouble with the website, it is probably your computer. If I want to post anything, I usually have to go to the library to do it, otherwise I keep getting "website not found".

To me, the issue is not that the site is slow but that it often won't load at all.
I keep getting error messages, and it often takes 10 or more clicking on the refresh button to merely load a single page. Sometimes I click 20 times and end up leaving without getting anywhere.
Logging in can be very hard, and unfortunately all too often necessary as despite having ticked the "Keep me logged in" box, I keep getting logged out all the time.

I can see here that this or similar problems have been around quite some time.
I wonder how many potential users are kept away by them...
Also, it's worth noting that the affiliated (?) finchbreederdatabase site works fine for me as does the seemingly also affiliated Hungarian IDRE site, so there must be something wrong with this site alone.

I agree that this site is slow to log on to. I used to click on the button to log on automatically and it always worked. Now it won't work and I have to sign on every time. It just quit working! Kinda frustrating!

Oh I thought I was the only one with the problem. I have the autolog thing on my own forum and it works fine. I think the site has a cookie configuration problem somewhere.

Is there anyone else on dial up & if so, are you constantly getting "can't find website"? Just trying to find out whether it's the XP or the dial up that is causing it. This has been happening only the last few weeks.
