Fabulous forum

Post by monotwine » Fri Oct 15, 2010 10:06 am

Realised that I joined the Finch Forum a year ago today and just wanted to say a BIG thank-you to the administrators and other users. I really appreciate the people on this forum that have so freely shared their passion, information, pictures and ideas. My finch husbandry has improved since joining and my interest charged to be the best care giver I can be. I always found it difficult to 'connect' with fellow finch keepers locally as I have few near me, but technology is a wonderful tool.

I have felt very welcome and apart of your community even though I live miles away.

=D> THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING THIS A FABULOUS FORUM =D>

I cannot measure the amount of tips, information and help I've received, plus, the new friends I've made. Great job, Admins!

I must agree, great forum. I love knowing others who have finches as their passion.... Thanks to you all I don't feel as weird as I use to
As far as having finch friends close by, there doesn't seem to be many in my area but with this forum I have finch friends around the world...I miss Mick from Australia though. And Rayray from Holland...
they always contributed good stuff.

You will have to save up for a world trip, you will have plenty of places to stay.

Monique, happy 1 year anniversary! My thanks to everybody as well - the members who share their experiences, and the moderators/members for their time. I joined this forum when it first got started, and am amazed at how it's reached out around the world. How cool is that? And as Candace pointed out, it's great to have friends who don't think you've lost your mind when they find out about your birds!

LOL I think its the feeling of being accepted as a finch nut with complete understanding from like-minded people that makes this forum so great. People do think I am a bit over the top when it comes to my birds, but the finches make me happy not the peeps out there thinking I am strange.

Once again thanks for the shared passions. I look forward to continued learning and growing through shared experiences.

I'm so grateful for fellow finch lovers that put up with all my questions that I'm sure they've had to answer time after time as each of us newbies discover this wonderful resource.
Thanks to everyone for always making us feel welcome.
