Let us test it out (enable it temporarily), then we can vote again on whether or not to keep it.

Enabling Private Messaging: yes or no?

Post by Crystal » Tue Jul 24, 2007 2:29 am

Hello, I was considering enabling private messaging (PM) on this board. PMs can be sent to converse with fellow members when they are online, to alert the moderators discreetly about any problems with the board, etc. PM privileges can be revoked on an individual basis as needed (e.g. in the event of abuse), so spam or harassment shouldn't be a problem (every member currently on this board is a gem, anyway, making this a non-issue!).

Before enabling it, though, I wanted to get a vote to see if it would be a feature people would consider useful or if it's better not to bother.

The options are:
-Yes, enable it.
-No, don't enable it.
-Enable it temporarily so we can test it, see if we like it, then take another vote on whether or not to keep it.
-No preference.

Thanks for voting :)

Also, let me know if you have any questions about PMs.

If anyone ever has a complaint, letting Tammie, Hilary, or myself know about it will solve the problem. :)
