Species to add

Post by Crystal » Thu Jul 20, 2006 10:58 pm

I got this e-mail recently:

On your Species site I notice there is no canary..

is Canary not a finch species?

Which prompts me to ask you all: should I add a species profile on canaries? I avoided it previously because there is so much to write if I dare be thorough, and it's better covered by other sites already on the internet, but if I'm going for completeness, I suppose I should mention more about them... what do you think?

Also, what other finches would you like to see in the species profile page that are not already mentioned?

I won't be able to get to it immediately, but for future updates, I am curious to know what is in demand!

Thanks!

Canaries should be included IMO.

I sometimes think that people do forget or are unaware that the canary is indeed a member of the finch family. I feel it would be good to have them listed. I understand you not wanting to do an indepth profile as there is a great deal of information out there, but just the basic info on the species would be appreciated by us canary keepers.
