A 'thumbs up' or like on comments.

Post by BillD » Wed Feb 22, 2012 12:01 am

I have an idea how this site is posted, but it would be nice to add a 'like' or 'thumbs up' for posts. I still love it.

I think this was brought up a while ago, there is thread on it somewhere.....not sure it it was decided against and if so why.

I like it the way it is. Adding a like or thumbs up doesn't bring anything to the discussion or answer any questions. I would not be for it.

I've participated in a number of forums and have never seen that. I also do not see what value it brings.

I doubt you can add this into the site, unless you have some serious programming skills, because "like" is usually not included in forums.

I get the idea, but I would rather not have it. Then I think people would rather just "like" something instead of commenting on a post, like when we are posting about new birds. I think it would cut down discussions.

I think it if we got the thumbs up, it will cause more people to press the thumbs up instead of talking. But I still like the idea :D
