but how do I mention a user in a post, when its the first post in a thread?So say I click on "new topic", and then I write a post and mention a forum member, (mentioning they may have birds for sale or whatever), and I want to put the member's name in the post, so its blue and "clickable", so others reading the post can click on the member's name, and go right to their info and PM them etc.
I know that I can do this if a thread is already started, and I want to mention a user (as its an option listed when you see all of the responses in the thread posts listed below)... but how can I do this if its the first post in the thread, or if the member isn't one that's listed in the thread below?
