For the last week or so I cannot retrieve personal messages from my inbox. I cannot go into them through my email or any other way that I know of. If I go into my email account and see Hello Corkysgirl, you have received a new private message to your account
on "FINCH forum" from...and I click on that link, it brings me to a page that says "Unknown Folder."
If I go into the messages that say Subject: You have been mentioned

[click here to view the full message....and I go into that link to enter the forum, I have the same problem. I can't write to ask about it via private messages because I can't receive the answer back through my email. My account says 19 new messages and 148 old messages. I saw something that said Release all on hold and thinking that was the problem, I clicked on it (It was a different color so it seemed like it would bring me somewhere, but nothing). Then I had an offer to make a folder to put the messages in and tried that and nothing went into the folder. I'm really not good at this kind of thing but this isn't me because there's virtually nothing to click on that I haven't tried. My husband also tried to help. I feel bad a few people think I'm ignoring their private messages. Can anyone help me with this problem?

I'm not much good at computers either, but I'll try to help. Can you get into your PM menu, but you can't open PMs? It sounds like your Inbox is full, and if so, you will need to either delete some of the PMs or move them into another folder. There is an option on the PM menu that says 'Rules Folders and Options'. There you can make one or several folders, and then move PMs from your Inbox into those folders.

Not sure how many PMs your Inbox will hold, as a moderator I have a different number. When I was a regular member, I was only allowed 25 PMs in my Inbox, so if I wanted to save a PM, I had to move it into another folder.

Part of your problem may be connected to all the problems we are having on the forum right now. Every time I try to send a PM, I get kicked out to the Log In page. Grrrr!

Sally thank you. I thought that was the problem but nothing was happening. I wasn't able to move anything. I just went there and it worked so either you fixed something or it unbroke itself. What wasn't working, is now working. I do think it was an internal problem because absolutely nothing I clicked on worked. It was weird. I'm inept with computer things but I know that a link that opened before and won't now means there's something wrong. Thanks again!

I usually am on my iPhone because I am always out, but I get logged off a lot. It's kinda annoying lol, and sometimes same with my computer. hopefully this can be fixed and Corkysgirl hope your problem can also get fixed! That must be very irritating! Good luck

Thanks delray it's alright now. I'm not sure what happened but the problem is resolved and now I emptied and bunch of private messages that were filling up my inbox. It should be fine now that I did that.
