Why is all my pictures too big of a file to post?!?!

I am trying to post a really awesome picture of these parrots I saw, but I can't post it because the file is too big. Can anyone help? sally crystal

Most of the time I use photoshop to to reduce resolution/file size/orientation of images. I think you can also post your large images on http://photobucket.com/ and share the direct links of the images here. Sign up photobucket (its free) to create a profile which will help you to control/manage/edit/share all of your uploaded images.

Thanks Sam007 . I'm gonna try to crop the picture so the file size decreases. I might also sign up for photobucket.
