Besides this last week it has been a while since I have been on the forum due to a very hectic summer. But hopefully I will be on the forum a lot more these next few months as I just set up most of my finches for breeding and I'm hoping for another great season.

Welcome back, Chris. Hoping you'll stick around, and that others will follow the ' yellow brick road' back to our Forum.

I have missed you, Chris . I miss many of the other members who are gone now...Jennie, Ruth, Ashley, Maiko, etc. I haven't been around much, as my little brother passed away suddenly on July 30th and I have been so very sad. I even considered rehoming my flock . Thankfully, I'm feeling a lot better about keeping my birds...they really do bring a lot of joy into my life. He was a bird lover too.

Oh my goodness, I'm so so sorry to hear about your brother. Life can be so horrible at times, blindsiding us when we least expect it.
Personally it's been the year from hell. I have to say, that my birds, and my other pets have helped me maintain my sanity.

I'm glad you hung on to your birds. They make you feel needed and give you a sense of purpose, in a world that at times seems to have turned upside down and gone insane.

My heart felt sympathy and warm regards to you and your family.

I have been a member here for many years now, people come and go, interest change. The forum was the first place I came to share, learn and grow as a finch breeder/keeper.

I read through topics, I pick and choose what I want to answer or get involved in. I have also been involved in several facebook groups as well, many are NFSS groups I helped set up as well as two of my own....I still come back and check in here.

Ginene, so sorry you lost your brother, glad you did not rehome your birds and that they brought you comfort during a very difficult time.

I agree that people who are willing to learn and care for their pets should really stay here, I will do the same. I want my finches to be happy and healthy, without forum here that we can ask questions, I won't be able to success or be a good owner to my birds! Hope people who have more knowledge, like Sally and Cindy both I know from last year when I first joined here, they have been so helpful to me whenever I have difficulties or problems with my finches. Welcome newbies and other people too

A Christmas baby ... Scarlette, is a very pretty name. Always makes me think of 'Gone With The Wind', way before your time... also way before mine as well. LOL.

Good luck with getting the Solvite people to pay you. Maybe suggest to them that they should at least give you free product for all the free advertising you do for them.

I'm still on here too. I haven't been able to spend as much time here, because I have been so busy with work and stuff around the house. I try to at least read the posts, if not comment.

I'm quite new to this forum, but I love it already more than some other ones. The people here are actually interested in how you're doing. On some dutch forums, It was all very serious and if I asked something, like wanting to know something about a particular species I'm getting soon, they are way less excited than the people who respond here. I don't post on those forums anymore, just because this forum is way more fun And I'm definitely planning to stay on this forum as long as possible.
