With there being no obvious guidance from administration on this site it's difficult to pass on any possible improvements.
On the two other main forums I use full membership is only granted after a full profile is filled in.
Over and over on here I have to ask members where in the world they are from in order to be able to answer a question.
Many members do show details....but to those who don't...PLEASE go to your own profile and at least fill out what part of the planet you come from.
Paul.

I can't believe it's not required! I see no reason not to fill it in. It's not like this is a gamblers anonymous support group!

Okay, I'll admit I go to the casino, but it's only for fun. I don't spend more than I can afford to lose usually, but how else am I going to win back all the money I lost? The last time I went, I lost $500. I went with a friend who really wanted to go and he lost a lot of money. Wow, he definitely has a gambling problem!

As "Administration", I'm not going to force anybody to fill out anything they're not comfortable sharing, nor have I ever used a forum that made that mandatory. It's certainly nice to know where everybody is, but not required for participation in the forum.

If you do have suggested improvements please continue to post them in the "Site-Related" section, and if it's something I can't change myself I can contact Crystal (owner of the site and webmaster).

I don't agree with you...It's a common courtesy...how can where in the world you come from cause anyone discomfort??

There's a bit of difference breeding Zebra finches in Alaska and Western Australia. How can questions be properly answered?

It's up to the user. Period. There aren't different levels of access for this forum - you're either a member or a guest. I agree that it's helpful to know, but if a user is willing to keep answering that question that's up to them.
