Which layout is best?

New Site Designs

I have been working on a few new layouts for finchinfo.com as I convert the site to PHP.


The potential new layouts (I'm still making more because I'm not totally satisfied with any of these yet) are:

I voted for green because it was close to the latest version of Finchinfo. That's a very pretty color and gives it a professional look at the same time.

Sorry.... I don't care for any of those layouts. I love green, but that is an odd shade of green. The fonts are difficult to read. Perhaps making them a bit larger would help?? If I had to choose one of those I would go with "magazine".

I like the layout that you say won't work at 800x600. It looks really sharp... can you work up something similar in the size you need?

I might be able to resize the old layout though I was worried about having enough room to keep the proportions the same; I'll add a poll option to just keep it the way it looks (the 'old' version).

The fonts are small for test purposes; for the 'live' site, they would be a little bigger and a lot more crisp.

I also added a "NEW green" layout above that you and Sally might like the color of better. Thanks for your input.

Also if you mouse over the bottom right corner you get that icon to fit to window where the pic of the page gets resized to normal and then all the writing is clear (fyi just in case)

Like Tammy, I think the first link with the size problem is great. And the new green is very nice, too.

Yes, it does look better enlarged. My favs are, "new green" and the old/current version.

Does this mean you're changing the style of the forum? The graphics on this site are the cutest I've ever seen. I love it like this!

These sample redesigns are for www.finchinfo.com, not for the forum. The forum's look won't be changing any time soon :)

I tried to look at them but appearantly I dont have permission on that server to view?? Then I see this is a very old post....
