wow, that was quick, thanks for everyones support of the idea and the super fast implementation.

As for the errors people are getting, its a simple fix that the mods/admins needs to fix. Permissions are set to exclude all members except admins for security... its a quick 2 second fix to click which groups get access to the forum.

Btw, I would love the calendar idea! I would even offer to manage it if it was implemented, it would not be too hard.
If we decide to stick with stickies, again, I would not mind moderating that specific sub forum.

Hilary if you think the admin stuff is hard wait till you try some of the coding & script stuff, its a nightmare. maybe its cos I'm puter illiterate though

Why dont you break the events sub forum down a bit further and set it up for USA by states and then other areas by country.
might make it easier for members to find events for their area rather than having to search through the whole lot.
bit more work for admin to set up but easier to maintain afterwards

Could we also use a map along with the posted information like the phoogle map. Put 2 or 3 months worth of shows up then take those down and post a new 2 or 3 months worth.
