Has anyone noticed that certain types of finches bite more than others??? I did a "check up" on all my birds today, and when I got to my spice finches, they were biting me HARD! They were being surprisingly aggressive. My male gouldian bites too, but not nearly as hard as those spices were biting!

My large-type Green Singer male bites really hard, and the female that I used to have would bite and not let go, she was like a pit bull! I find that the small-type Green Singers that I have bite hard as well, but they can't match the large-type.

I work with birds all day and the only finch that's ever bitten me is my female gouldian

. It's part of why I like her though, she's tiny but she's got some serious spirit!

Most of my Gouldian's have bitten me, but only on the fingers.
It's nothing comparied to the serious hurt my severe macaw has put on me before ( I still have a scar on my arm from the one time he got REALLY PO'd at me)...
Still, they can pinch pretty hard for their size!
