I am totally enamored of gold-breast finches and noticed in your other post that you have some.
Are they a difficult bird to keep (say compared to Gouldians), are they noisy (loud, piercing?). Could I keep two males, or is a pair better?
I read that they can be loud considering how small they are.
I have this vision of a cage with a pair of Gouldians and a pair of gold-breasts, this would be heaven to me!
Thanks!

I posted some info under Species where someone else asked about the Goldbreasts. They are very passive, but flighty birds. Mine are not noisy at all. I have mine in pairs, and then I have one odd male which is in my community flight. He buddied up with a Fire finch hen. I would think you could keep a pair of Goldbreasts with a pair of Gouldians. The LGs will be huge compared to the Goldbreasts, but neither species is aggressive at all.

I have a pair that just raised three babies. They are in an open aviary.
I traded two of them yesterday for a gouldian. The lady I traded with called me and said they escaped from her cage, but she was able to get them and put them back. She is going to have to get a different cage. They are so very, very small!
They hardly make any noise at all. They are somewhat nervous and mine love to stay in the trees. But no problems breeding them.
