Good for you! I haven't even thought about what I'm going to do yet. Only one of my gouldians have colored up and two more are on their way. They are 4 months old. The other 9 are a month younger.

 Atarasi I hope you have plenty of patience. I have a couple of 12 month old gouldians who still do not have full color showing
Addicted to Finches, yes I do admit it.
I pray they never find a cure.

Thanks for the heads up Mick, but I'm being optimistic. A week or so before the first colored feathers appear, they fluff up and sleep more. A few more birds are already doing that. So HA! :D But, I know no one really has any control on when they'll moult.

I think every gouldian is different. The one that is done moulting was born April 28th. Her sister has her chest, underside and most of her back filled in. Her head is splotchy.

Another cock was born on May 17th and he has part of his chest and underside filled in. I can see 4 tiny red feathers on his head.

A clutch of 6 were born on July 18th and a few of them are just starting to get a few chest feathers in.
